Hailing from New Paltz, NY, vocalist Joanna Teters has become increasingly known for her powerful voice and relaxed presence; she continues to turn heads with her ability to switch effortlessly from a smooth-but-smokey lilt into a rugged reggae delivery. Her "inviting, provocative and unique" voice is recognized as the defining characteristic of future-soul band Mad Satta, progressive pop band Drew ofthe Drew, and hip-hop collective Lowtone Society. With Mad Satta, Teters currently holds a monthly residency at Daryl's House in Pawling, NY and they are preparing to release an EP entitled "Break Me Free," a follow up to their 2014 album "Comfort." She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
